15th June 2020
Dear Parent / Carer
Following the successful return to school of children in Reception and Year One, we are looking to see if we can at least offer our Year 4 children some time in school before they leave us for Middle School.
However, due to the on-going increase in the number of key worker children attending school and the restrictions that we need to adhere to with regard to social distancing, we can only accommodate one more pod of 15 children on the days specified below.
Therefore, our provisional plan would be to divide the Year 4 cohort into three pods of no more than 15 as follows:
Wednesday 1st – Thursday 2nd July Pod 1
Wednesday 8th July – Thursday 9th July Pod 2
Wednesday 15th July – Thursday 16th July Pod 3
We would also need to stagger entry to and exit from school in order to maintain social distancing from the pods already in school. Therefore, your child would be asked to enter school from 9.30am and exit at 2.30pm.
Our provision for the Year 4 key worker children already in school would remain the same.
In order that we can arrange the above, please could you email school by 19th June, only if you do not wish your child to be included in any of the pods. Following this date, we will inform you of your child’s allocated days.
I know it will be a disappointment to many children and families, as it is to us, that we can’t invite all year groups back. However, we wanted to give clarity to you to be able to plan for the weeks ahead.
The staff are really enjoying communicating with you all via Seesaw, Tapestry and Twitter. Please keep sharing your home learning with us!
