Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP)

Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP)

Whitley Lodge has an additionally resourced provision that caters for up to five children with moderate learning difficulties with an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).  Our aim is to raise the achievement of pupils in the resourced provision within the inclusive context of the mainstream school.

Resourced Provision means that the Local Authority has invested money into Whitley Lodge First School to provide:

  • Additional staff, trained to meet the educational needs of children with moderate learning difficulties.
  • Extra teaching space to be used with small groups made up of children from the resourced provision as well as some mainstream children.
  • A room for speech therapists, educational psychologists and other specialists to work with individual children.

Since 2007, we have been awarded the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark and since 2016, have been certified every year as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion.

Further details are on our school website in the SEND section and our detailed SEND Policy is also available on the school website. The Headteacher and SENDCo are responsible for the school’s arrangements in identifying and meeting the pupil’s special educational needs.
